welcome
My name's Claire (she/her).

I'm a Counsellor in Transactional Analysis (TA) and am studying to become a psychotherapist.

Based in Edinburgh, I offer individual, couples and relationship therapy face-to-face and online.
my approach
It can be difficult to know which approach is right for you when looking for a counsellor. I'd like to provide you with some information about me and the approach I take, to help you decide.
It is important to me that I am the right fit, so don't hesitate to get in contact for a free initial chat.

I live in Edinburgh and my professional life has included community work, yoga teaching and counselling and relationship is always central in my work.

We are shaped by the circumstances, culture and society we are brought up in and sometimes that can make life difficult. The type of counselling I offer is Transactional Analysis (TA). TA is a useful way of making meaning of how past experiences affect us in the present. I can tell you more about this as we work together.

I see my role as helping you flourish and thrive by working with the issues and problems that are preventing you from fully living your life.
I have experience of working with groups, couples and individuals from the LGBTQIA+ and Neurodivergent Communities. I believe that neurodiversity and GSRD (Gender, Sexual, and Relationship Diversity) are vital parts of human diversity and my role is to support you as your ally. Whether you are part of a neuroqueer couple or an individual seeking to live more authentically, I offer a trauma-informed space that honours your unique culture and lived experience.
My areas of interest are sexuality, gender, relationship styles, queer identity, neurodivergence - especially later life diagnosis and how we live in the world ecologically.

I support and resource my work through adherence to ethics, regular supervision and continuing professional development.
